Contender Ltd. was started in 1995 as a home video company in UK. It was acquired by E1 Entertainment in 2007. On 16th March 2009, the company rebranded with the new name E1 UK. It is known for making DVD's and VHS's of Peppa Pig, Tractor Tom, Art Attack, New Police Story, The Story Makers, and others.
