Making Space for Potatoes
Winter isn’t over yet. We’re in for another cold snap soon. Meanwhile, it’s time to make new garden beds. Potatoes take a lot of space. Somehow, the deer don’t bother the potato plants. I’m looking for underutilized areas in the yard for more garden beds. For the curious, I’m in USDA Zone 6B with an average last frost date of May 3rd. On the day I filmed, it was in the upper 60’s° F (20° C). Next week it could hit 18° at night (-5° C) so, nothing is being planted in these beds yet.
