Film Premiere | Kugluktuk Harvesters on the Grays Bay Road and Port

The views expressed herein are solely those of the Kugluktuk Angoniatit Association The Grays Bay Road and Port is a proposed 230 km all-season road and deep-water port through the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut. If built, it would permanently alter the land that the Dolphin and Union caribou herd — and the people of Kugluktuk — depend on. This film centres the voices of Kugluktuk's hunters and the Kugluktuk Angoniatit Association (the local Hunters and Trappers Organization). No outside narrators. No industry spokespeople. Just the people who live here, speaking for themselves. This work documents firsthand knowledge and lived experience from Kugluktuk harvesters on a development that will shape their land, wildlife, and way of life for generations. This film project received funding from WWF-Canada. #kugluktuk #nunavut #GraysBayRoadAndPort #DolphinAndUnionCaribou #KitikmeotRegion #Indigenousrights #nunavutday #inuitknowledge #landdefenders #caribou #inuitculture
