The Most Beautiful Trout

This is the third of a four-part Rocky Mountain adventure with my cousin, Mark: Beautiful Greenback Cutthroat Trout on dry flies in a mountain lake with an elevation over 10,000 feet!! We called ourselves Team Orvis as kids and the adventure continues. Our journey took us over the Continental Divide to the headwaters of the Grand Canyon, where summertime camping, hungry wild trout and breathtaking scenery awaited. Elk bugled in the distance, the Milky Way stretched endlessly overhead, and the stream meandered through one of the most beautiful meadows you’ll ever see. It felt like fly fishing in the Garden of Eden, and to make it even better, I was sharing it with my childhood fly-tying buddy. Let's Go!!
