Multi-agency operation nets 17 arrests of repeat offenders during World Cup

Local and federal law enforcement agencies say they took 17 violent repeat offenders off the streets during the World Cup as part of Operation Red Card. Those arrested are facing a range of felony charges, including gun-related offenses, assault, robbery, extortion and unlawful imprisonment. Officials with the FBI, Seattle Police Department and other agencies said they had been preparing for the World Cup for years.
