This new music special documentary paved the way for #muchmusic to get the coveted CRTC Digital Broadcast License because the Canadian music scene was being influenced by the cultures that were growing within Canada. This episode was filmed by Tony Wannamaker and hosted by JD John Roberts! In this webisode, Tony travels to Trinidad for Carnival 1984. It was the super mega-party that started so many careers! He is with John Martin, Producer of The New Music and creator of Much Music; V.J. John (J.D.) Roberts ( now with Fox News) and Deanne Taylor a Toronto Mayoral Candidate. In this episode, we discover the birth of Much Music and see the works of Peter Minshall the world-renowned stage and costume designer. Tony also makes his stage debut as an American soldier in front of 20,000 people. Then the crew flees Trinidad as they don't have enough money to cover their expenses."
