Floor plan 1 point perspective for BTEC L3 Construction & the Built Environment Unit 2

(No audio for this one sorry). This is a drawing run through creating a 1 point perspective plan view of an en-suite hotel room. I use a scale of 1:50 for the floor plan and to help proportion the heights I use a scale of 1:100 measured on the corners of the room only. Step 1 Choose a scale and correctly position the drawing so you can fit on what you need. Step 2 Draw the room footprint using the set square to make sure all the corners are at right angles. Step 3 Mark the centre of the room for the vanishing point and draw the corners of the room, measure the height of the room on the corners. (You can only measure heights on the corners of the room). Step 4 Mark out positions of doors, windows and internal partitions. Step 5 Mark out furniture, do footprint first then build up heights, make the frame of the object and then add details. Step 6 Show footprints of other items and shade if they would obscure too much of the view. Step 7 Add extra details to the room as desired. Step 8 (Not shown) Add notes to suit assignment brief, including sizes.
