A look inside a Wavetrac Limited Slip Differential

Rebuilding an 02J for a customer who tracks his car, it had a catastrophic failure of the bellhousing where the pinion shaft bolts in. The ring and pinion gear teeth were trashed. Given the close proximity of the differential to where debris was flinging all over the place, I took this Wavetrac diff apart to clean out any potential debris and was also curious just to see how these are put together. While I've installed dozens of these differentials brand new, this is the first I've taken a used one apart. Pretty clever design! I can certainly feel the difference in how my car puts the power down with the new one I installed with my 02S/02J hybrid.
