The Rheingans Sisters in Grindleford
Between lockdowns, we ventured out to the lovely village of Grindleford in the Peak District, where the Rheingans Sisters – Rowan and Anna – were brought up. They are multi instrumentalists influenced not just by the British folk tradition, but also by music from France and Scandinavia too. All their instruments are made by their father Helmut in his workshop in the back garden of the family home in the village. The sisters took me to that magical place, introduced me to their Dad and played music from their critically acclaimed album “Receiver”.
