Alligator Song (Blackwater Shore)

This song has the same melody of Rosin the Beau. Plot: This song opens up with Luca (the apprentice near Blackwater according to the song Spanish Stars by the Makem Brothers) walking into a pet store and seeing an alligator. The owner of the pet store reveals his name is Conor Jr, who is the only son of a family of 12 and reveals that he was named after his father Conor Makem (which is in reference to the singer of Spanish Stars from the album Stand Together). During the chorus of each verse, Conor says his mother's name is Lynn Makem (nee Hecker) and his ambition is to take care of his sisters who are swimming at the lakehouse near Blackwater Shore. His birth order was number seven, which in German, (sieben) is the only unique number also as it was the only two-syllable number in the set. The sisters Conor Jr explains to Luca in birth order is in reference to The Loud House. The sixth daughter was supposed to be Lynn, but to avoid confusion, the sixth daughter was Leah. Conor Jr explains to Luca that his name starts with a different letter despite being an only brother. He mentions his younger sisters Lucy and Lana and Lola, who are twins. He even brings up his grandfather (who was the father of the daughter his father Conor married) and also mentions the second to last daughter Lisa. The song ends with Luca trying to get the alligator for free, but Conor stops Luca and warns the listeners (mostly the men) that if they find a lover who is true, they shouldn't get distracted or else they will be more prone to lose them and would never see them again. Note: The 12th and youngest member of Conor and Lynn Makem's family was Lily, but she is not mentioned in this song. You might be prone to crying when you discover the meaning of this song.
