How to test a temperature sensor

This video covers the complete testing of a temperature sensor for a vehicle, including: the sensor itself, the 5V signal circuit, and ground (low reference). Although the vehicle used in the video is a 2001 Chevy Tahoe, this same method can be used on almost any temperature sensor on any vehicle. This includes: engine coolant temp sensor (ECT), cabin temp sensor, intake air temp sensor, ambient air temp sensor, transmission temp sensor, engine oil temp sensor, and more.
