Gaming as an Adult is BROKEN... Here's Why

Finding time to game as an adult isn’t always easy. Between work, family and everything else life throws at us, it’s so easy to fall out of the habit of playing a game you’re really enjoying. In this video I chat about why keeping a gaming rhythm can be difficult, and why sometimes getting back into a game after a break feels harder than starting something completely new. I also complete my 9th game of the year with the legendary Streets of Rage on the Sega Mega Drive. After recently picking up the Sega Mega Games 6 cartridge, it was finally time to experience one of the greatest beat ‘em ups ever made. I share my thoughts on the game’s colourful visuals, fantastic soundtrack and classic gameplay, while also explaining why, for me, Streets of Rage II still deserves its reputation as the best game in the trilogy. Even on Easy mode this game put up a serious fight, reminding me just how challenging retro games were designed to be. After that, I head over to CeX where I pick up Bomberman R for the Nintendo Switch. While browsing the cabinets, I also spot a pretty costly mistake that saw CeX accidentally take in a copy of Mario Party as Mario Party 3, resulting in what appears to be a £103 overpayment in trade value. It’s a great example of why it’s always worth paying attention when buying and trading retro games. Back in the games room, I take a closer look at the CeX mistake, show off my Bomberman R pickup, and talk about how much I’m currently enjoying the Nintendo Switch 2. I also share a few accessories I’ve added so far, including tempered glass screen protectors and a protective carry case.
