Eric Coates (1886-1957) Calling all Workers
Calling all workers was one of the most recognisable signature tunes on the radio for many years. Music While You Work was broadcast from June 1940 to September 1967 and featured bands and orchestras of all sizes playing light music non-stop for 30 minutes. This recording dating back to 1940 was conducted by the composer Eric Coates with an unidentified orchestra.
