Why You Should NEVER Shoot in Auto Mode (Use LOG Instead!)

Shooting in LOG can dramatically improve your footage - but only if you use it the right way. In this video, I’ll show you my best practice workflow for shooting in LOG using manual mode - whether you’re filming with a drone or a mirrorless camera like the Sony Alpha 6700. You’ll learn: • Why auto mode ruins cinematic motion • How to set your shutter speed correctly • Why ISO should stay near base ISO • When and why you need ND filters • How to properly expose LOG footage • My personal exposure rule (+0.5 to +1 EV) If you’ve ever struggled with harsh contrast in snow, bright skies, or high dynamic range scenes - this workflow will help you get consistent and flexible footage.
