DRI Webinar Series Getting to know EOSC and PATH2EOSCUK Project

DRI Webinar Series Getting to know EOSC and the PATH2EOSCUK project What is the DRI Webinar Series? In February 2026, we launched a series of webinars to showcase the digital research infrastructure projects and communities in the UK and beyond in collaboration with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Join the series to learn about state-of-the-art initiatives that aim to advance research tools and techniques, foster collaboration and data sharing, and accelerate discoveries across a range of academic disciplines and sectors. The Open Science Cloud (EOSC) has been in development over the past decade and aims to provide researchers across Europe with an open and trusted multi-disciplinary environment that supports the production, sharing and reuse of FAIR data. The UK has been involved in many European Commission funded projects to establish and implement EOSC but activity across the UK has been fragmented and there is a need to map past and current activities as well as to raise awareness of the potential benefits of EOSC among UK RPOs. This webinar will introduced the concept of EOSC services and governance and provided an overview of the new PATH2EOSCUK project being undertaken by Jisc, DCC and UKRI between May-November 2026 to explore the creation of a UK EOSC node and to engage with the UK research infrastructure and support communities.
