Here are the highlights of the race from July 5, 2026. Triathlete Sam Laidlow defended his title at Challenge Roth and set a new world record of 7:21:04. Despite a brief lapse seven kilometers from the finish, the Frenchman fought his way back and celebrated a furious finish. Olympic champion Kristian Blummenfelt finished second in his Roth debut, with Rico Bogen taking third – the German breaking the bike course record with a time of 3:54:45.
