Zweiter Test: Lykia Links in Belek, 18 Loch Lochspiel vs Papa!

The second big test for both man and equipment. This time a father/son duel and a true links course: Lykia Links in Belek, Turkey. A really great course, unfortunately somewhat isolated and off the beaten track. We played the course in December, and it was in very good condition then, beautifully green throughout. A few greens had unfortunately been freshly sanded. The green fee of around €75 was very fair. The clubhouse is a bit dated, but that's not really a problem when you're out on the course. The course architect, by the way, is Pete Dye. He's known for very challenging courses. My conclusion: The microphones unfortunately deteriorated somewhat as the round went on... I definitely need to do something about that. This time we also filmed everything handheld, meaning the tracers moved around a lot... So next time, it'll be back to a tripod. And of course, I'm working on my golf swing. That's when I realized I keep resorting to reverse pivoting and still can't aim properly. The misses from that tee are, of course, very frustrating... Background to MaxGolf: I'm taking you along on my journey to a single-digit handicap. At 36, I seem to have reached my midlife crisis. Many of my friends my age are starting to run marathons, have kids, buy a Porsche, or marry their third wife. For me, it's golf. At the start of this series, my handicap is 21.4, about two years after getting my handicap. I'm from beautiful Lower Bavaria and play for the second team at a local golf club in the Bavarian Golf Association (BGV). On this channel, I'll document my training sessions, golf trips, rounds, and much more, and share my knowledge with you. Regular guests and fun rounds are also a must.
