Breeding and Raising Zebra Danios.

Video Background: I first bred the Zebra Danio in 1972 when there were lots of healthy specimens being sold in aquarium shops. Sadly over years the quality of the fish for sale has suffered because of, in my opinion, mass indiscriminate farm breeding. However, in February this year I called into a local fish shop that had some small but decent zebras for sale and purchased a small group of these youngsters. The adult fish in the video are these fish after a couple of months of growing and conditioning. Zebras are a prolific species that is easy to breed and grow on. Given plenty of the right food the fry grow quickly with minimal mortality rates. However, there are a couple of well know YouTubers who have produced videos of the breeding of this fish that mention high mortality rates and raise fewer fry. Have a try breeding this fish yourself as it’s a fun fish to get started with breeding egg scatterers. Link to how I culture infusoria:    • Starting & Maintaining an Infusoria Cultur...
