The Horn Chronicle – A German Tastes America As part of my Tennessee Whiskey Trail journey, I stop in Jefferson City, Tennessee, to visit Mossback Distilling Co. — a craft distillery deeply connected to the history of the town around it. The name "Mossback" traces its roots back to the original settlement of Mossy Creek, long before Jefferson City became what it is today. That local heritage can still be felt throughout the area and remains part of the distillery's identity. In this film, I explore the distillery, its welcoming tasting room, the production and bottling area, and a beautiful outdoor courtyard featuring artwork that celebrates the history and character of Jefferson City. I didn’t take a tour here. Instead, I spent my time exploring the distillery, discovering the details, enjoying the atmosphere, and learning a little more about the town that helped shape it. Sometimes the most memorable stops on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail are not the largest or most famous. Sometimes they are simply places with character.
