Overwhelmed by What We Found in Tokyo! (arriving in Japan)

We did not expect to be going to Japan right now, but here we are! Our first impressions of Japan are more than we could have hoped for - Tokyo is an incredible city! In this video, we are making our way from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Tokyo, Japan. The journey brings us through Manila airport and along the way we are sharing a story that has slowly been writing itself for many months now (maybe even years!). Japan has a very special place in our hearts for a couple of reasons, all of which we share in this video as we capture our first impressions of Tokyo. We arrive to Haneda airport and are immediately met with more luxury than we have seen in a very long time. The electronic check in counter is a first for us, as are so many of the things we experience in our first 24 hours in Tokyo! This megacity has so much to offer visitors, and we aren't even getting to those exciting tourist attractions yet! If you are travelling to Japan sometime soon, or are thinking about visiting Japan, we have a feeling you will have similar first impressions to Japan as we did. This country is known for it's technological advancement, efficiency, and cleanliness, and it did not disappoint! We haven't had a chance to try proper Japanese food yet, but we can confirm the snacks from Family Mart hit the spot! We also learned the hard way that Japan is so far in the future that trying to get physical SIM cards is very challenging! Thankfully, learning how to use the Tokyo Metro and get our Suica cards was way simpler than getting ourselves some data.
