"Making Conversation" (1957) Western Electric Bell Telephone Film | 16mm Scan
Unfortunately, this film has a printing defect of some kind where it seems the yellow strip of the three-strip technicolor process was drifting in and out of focus. I thought Technicolor would have had better quality control! Western Electric was an engineering/manufacturing arm of the Bell Telephone System for AT&T. See the astounding web of switchboard systems, onto the factory production line of the telephone shown in a variety of colors. And of course, it's the famous 'Model 500'. I found reference to the film being shot in 1957, in a Sandia Labs newspaper. https://archive.org/details/C166_Lab_... I improved it as I could, but there wasn't too much that could be done. Film also had some basically glued-on dirt, I gave a lot of cleaning passes but there was still a decent amount. Lightly applied digital dirt/scratch removal, there's probably a stray artifact here or there I didn't catch. Also lightly corrected color. Please reach out regarding commercial usage/licensing of scan
