X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrometric Analysis of Cement
Objective - To determine the elements and oxides present in OPC 53 Cement Sample. Energy dispersive X-ray Spectrometry is a non-destructive analysis technique used to determine the concentration of the elements and oxides present in solid, powdered or liquid samples. With modern computer controlled systems, this operation is fully automatic and results are obtained within 15 minutes. We have demonstrated one such operation using OPC 53 cement sample in Microtek Energy efficient voltage stabilizer. This experiment was performed under the guidance of Swapnil Wanjari Sir, Diwakar Shende Sir and Anup Kumar Sir in the Chemical Engineering laboratory of Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
