10 piatti tipici calabresi: SFIZI DI CALABRIA a cena da CICCIO
We were guests of 'Ciccio - Gusto Calabrese' to try typical Calabrian specialties. We started with a mixed antipasto of local cured meats and cheeses, then moved on to fried dishes: meatballs, eggplant and tuna meatballs, rice meatballs, and potato croquettes. We couldn't miss Suriaca, the typical bean, with tuna and Tropea red onion, and 'Pipi e patate,' local peppers sautéed with potatoes. Next, we sampled fileja, a pasta made from water and flour, available in two versions: boscaiola rossa with mushrooms and sausage, and with beans and 'nduja. The final dish was the typical spicy Calabrian sausage, sliced by hand, with baked potatoes. All this was accompanied by a homemade red wine, strictly without a label, with a strong, crisp flavor. Of course, Amaro del Capo was a must. Thanking the staff for their hospitality, we can safely say we experienced the authentic flavors of Calabria! #pasta #foodblogger #calabria
