Laws of Thermodynamics: 1st and 2nd Laws of Thermodynamics In this video, I discuss the two laws of thermodynamics. The first law of thermodynamics addresses the conservation of energy; an amount of heat supplied to a system will increase its internal energy and perform work. The second law of thermodynamics states that it is impossible to completely convert heat into another form of energy. It states that it is impossible to build a heat engine with 100% efficiency.
