In this lesson, I’m going to make a cake with a special chocolate sponge, a delicious ganache filling that also works as the frosting, and a beautiful decoration. RECIPE CAKE BATTER 200 ml milk 120 ml vegetable oil 250 g all-purpose flour 20 ml vanilla extract (or 1 tablespoon) 50 g 50% cocoa powder 2 eggs 200 g granulated sugar 10 g baking powder (or 1 tablespoon) Bake at: 180°C (356°F) Baking time: Approximately 30–35 minutes GANACHE 500 g semi-sweet chocolate or chocolate coating 250 g heavy cream 125 g butter or margarine SYRUP 300 ml water 100 g sugar 10 ml vanilla extract
