Zukunft Schoch-Areal - der Abriss

The film (2016) shows the challenges facing the city of Stuttgart in redeveloping the site. The industrial wasteland is heavily contaminated with toxic substances. The remediation of the contaminated soil, currently underway, will cost approximately €19.5 million. Around 125 residential units are planned for the area – which will be called "Quartier am Wiener Platz" in the future. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2018.
