Naret Road to Talat Noi & Chinatown Cycling Route, Bangkok

This cycling route links Naret Road with Talat Noi and Chinatown, following a 7.5 km loop along some of Bangkok’s oldest trading streets before returning to the starting point. For best viewing, set quality to 4K. Filmed at 10:30 AM on a Thursday, the route moves from the quieter streets around Naret Road into Talat Noi’s narrow lanes, workshop alleys, and historic shophouse districts, then continues into the busier streets of Chinatown. Along the way, the environment shifts repeatedly between residential streets, trading corridors, market activity, and some of Bangkok’s most recognisable commercial areas. Starting from our office on Naret Road, the ride follows Soi Phuttha Osot and Charoen Krung 43 Alley before joining Charoen Krung Road and entering Talat Noi via Soi Wanit 2. Within a short distance, the atmosphere changes noticeably as the route moves into narrower lanes lined with workshops, local businesses, shrines, and everyday neighbourhood activity. The ride continues through Trok San Chao Rong Kueak and Duang Tawan Alley before reaching Song Wat Road, one of Bangkok’s historic trading corridors. From Song Wat Road, the route enters Chinatown via Yaowarat 3 Alley, then reaches Yaowarat Road and Chinatown Gate. The pace picks up as pedestrians, vehicles, shops, and market activity combine to create one of Bangkok’s most active urban environments. Further along, the route passes through Yaowarat Soi 11, Itsaranuphap Alley, Ratchawong Road, and further sections of Song Wat Road before looping back through Vanich 1 Road, Saphan Yuan Road, and Talat Noi. The return journey offers a different perspective on many of the same neighbourhoods as activity continues to build into the late morning. This route highlights how closely connected Bangkok’s historic trading districts remain. Within a relatively short distance, the ride moves between quiet neighbourhood lanes, workshop streets, dense commercial corridors, and some of the city’s busiest markets, revealing how different environments coexist within Bangkok’s historic core.
