My Best Classical Win Ever? | Lichess4545 vs Former Lichess Top-3

The final 45+45 game of the season, and easily one of the biggest games I've ever played. Before the round, our team still had a slim chance at the podium, but earlier results ended those hopes. My opponent's team, meanwhile, was still fighting for a top-3 finish. Across the board sat a Candidate Master who was recently over 2500 Classical on Lichess and ranked among the site's top players. Fortunately, I came armed with deep Najdorf preparation. My opponent followed a line they had played before, but the unusual Bxe6 idea took them out of familiar territory. I remained in prep until move 16, built up a huge clock advantage, and reached a balanced middlegame with practical chances. The game then turned into a strategic battle for the c-file. I missed one particularly strong improvement, but once I managed to infiltrate, the attack against the king became unstoppable. A memorable way to end the season. Streaming most days 18:00 UTC. Currently final stages of the road to 2300 (next episode tonight)
