The War is Over - Week 4, Day 2 - The Gospel Truth

The longest conflict in history lasted 4000 years and ended in a decisive victory nearly 2000 years ago. Still, many have not yet heard the news and they continue to fight the battle-the battle of sin and judgment. On the cross Jesus said "It is finished," victory was declared, and reconciliation began. It was the victory promised when Jesus was born and the angels declared, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" (Luke 2:14). Is this saying Jesus came to create peace among men? If it is, then He has most certainly failed. The peace he spoke of was not among men, but between God and man. Sin is no longer the issue; the price has been paid once and for all. God sent His only Son to bear our sin, becoming sin itself, and then judged Him without mercy for that sin. Was His sacrifice enough for you? Is God withholding His blessing because of your sin? If you die with an unconfessed sin, would you be lost? The answers in this book will release you from the condemnation of judgment and fear. It will free you to receive the promised blessings of God! Many even believe you just can't know God's will—that in His sovereignty, He will make it happen regardless of what you do. Too long this viewpoint has kept Christians from knowing the full potential He planned for them. But no more. God created you with a specific purpose, and the good news is, He wants you to find it. This insightful teaching will guide you on your path to find, follow and fulfill God's will in your life. ============================================ Andrew Wommack Ministries http://www.awmi.net/ https://awme.net/   / awministries     / andrewwommack     / andrewwommack     / andrewwommack   ======================================================    • The War is Over - The Gospel Truth   01:37 But when the true lamb of God came, the Lord Jesus, God placed all of his wrath for our sin upon Jesus and He punished His own son in our place, so that he could extend mercy towards us. 07:43 The only way you're ever going to have peace with God is to get out from under the old testament law where you think you have to earn the favor of God, and instead, you need to have...you need to come under the new testament grace and just receive the gift of eternal life. 10:33 No, God is a just God. He can't deny His own nature. 12:35 This is saying that if you can accept that Jesus died for you when you were yet a sinner, much more now that you are a Christian should you be able to accept the mercy and the grace of God. 15:23 Colossians, chapter 2, verse 6, says, as you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. 22:26 Not through what your goodness but through what Jesus did. You inherited sin through Adam. You inherited righteousness through Jesus if you will accept it.
