🎬 WARI - THE WALK OF FAITH short film was specially created for a short film competition and went on to win 🏆 FIRST PRIZE at India’s biggest photography & videography platform – DCP Expeditions, during their Grand Annual Film Festival 2026. WARI is more than a pilgrimage. It is a living tradition. It is devotion measured not in distance, but in surrender. The Pandharpur Wari is a centuries-old spiritual journey where millions of Warkaris walk hundreds of kilometers with unwavering faith, chanting the name of Vitthal. Barefoot on dusty roads, under harsh sun and pouring rain, they walk not for spectacle, but for belief. For the past 3 years, I have personally experienced the Wari — walking alongside the devotees, observing their discipline, emotions, and silent strength. Through this journey, I have been documenting the Wari through videos and photographs, not as an outsider, but as a witness to faith in motion. This short film is a result of those lived experiences. This film does not try to explain the Wari. It tries to feel it. Every frame carries dust from the road. Every sound carries a chant. Every moment carries devotion.
