Sarasota Police tour St. Armands and Lido Keys after Hurricane Milton

Our priority is the preservation of life and after a severe weather event like Milton, our officers are quick to respond. This morning, Sarasota Police officers patrolled St. Armands and Lido Keys to check on any residents who remained. Unlike recent storms, water rescues were not necessary.🙏 We are grateful people heeded evacuation orders! This is a look at conditions on the barrier islands around lunchtime on Thursday. Access to these islands is not permitted yet, but we are working expeditiously to allow for a safe return.
