A conversation with Ailton Krenak, Brazilian philosopher and activist, author of *Life Is Not Useful*. Krenak is the first Indigenous person to be inducted into the Minas Gerais Academy of Letters. In the 1980s, he participated in the founding of the Union of Indigenous Nations (UNI), an intertribal forum that established representation for the Indigenous movement in Brazil.
