Shimoda 4 Days, 3 Nights Travel Itinerary – 2026 Spring Coastal Onsen Retreat! We spent four days and three nights in Shimoda, staying at the Ocean‑View Hiromi Spa Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the sweeping view of Ebisu Island set the tone for a trip filled with calm and beauty. The onsen hotel overlooking the ocean made every breakfast and dinner feel special, and the hotel itself offered everything—hot springs, massage chairs, private spas, snorkeling, and delicious meals—so it felt like a complete destination without ever needing to leave. Spring had just passed its peak, so the cherry blossoms were fading into green. Even so, the festivals were still alive, and we enjoyed seasonal sakura‑flavored treats like sakura beer under the trees. Though we missed the full bloom, the quiet streets and lighter crowds made wandering more comfortable, and the flowers that remained carried their own charm. Driving from the airport, we caught sight of snow‑capped Fujisan and fields of flowers along the way. Shimoda’s beaches were stunning, and Ebisu Island was only a short stroll from the hotel. Sunsets over the sea, the sound of waves, the warmth of the onsen, and the fresh spring air created moments that lingered long after.
