TRIBUN-TIMUR.COM, PINRANG - A case of bullying involving a minor in Pinrang Regency, South Sulawesi, is now being handled by the police. The assault occurred in the Salopi Beach area, Binanga Karaeng Village, Lembang District, last Sunday (June 21, 2026). The tourist area is 42.9 kilometers from Pinrang City, Watang Sawitto District. The main trigger for this assault is strongly suspected to be a romantic dispute between the teenagers. The victim's mother, Rahmatullah, has officially reported the tragic incident to the police. The young victim is identified by the initials IA (14). The police acted quickly after receiving an official report from the victim's parents. She was allegedly abused by six perpetrators, all of whom were also her friends. All of the alleged perpetrators are known to be minors. The Lembang Police Criminal Investigation Unit immediately took legal action regarding this report. Police have requested information and clarification from the victim and her parents. Officers have also invited the six alleged perpetrators for further questioning. The alleged perpetrators were accompanied by their parents during the questioning process. The Lembang Police also coordinated intensively with the Women and Children Protection Unit of the Pinrang Police. This coordination was carried out because all parties involved are still minors.
