There's been a lot of discussion lately about the new history textbook edited by Medinsky—that it's a piece of propaganda and Putinist propaganda. But previous textbooks were no better. They consistently ignored the majority of peoples living in Russia, justified deportations and wars, called colonization "development," and rewrote history.
