On the second and final day of the chase, I both started and ended with a famous tunnel. This wraps up the extent of my chasing Big Boy, at least on this year's tour. Some video notes: The clip of 4014 and 2102 meeting at Dupont at 0:20:34 is - of course - edited. I cropped one clip at an angle and put it overtop of the other clip to give the illusion that both trains passed at the same time. There was no AI used in the making of any aspect of this video. Between 0:44:42 and 0:48:35, I used the camera I was using for stills for video due to the lack of space and urgency. This means no tripod and no external microphone. So the video is a bit shaky and the audio is not the best here, but better than nothing in my opinion. At 1:06:41 you'll notice the camera start to move. This is because the ground I was on was pretty unstable and I figured it was safer to mount my camera to a tree than on a tripod. As 4014 entered the tunnel, it acted like piston, driving the air out of the tunnel, which started shaking the tree my camera was attached to. Thanks to everyone involved in making this once-thought-impossible idea into a reality. Ten years ago, if you had asked about the idea of a big boy running through Jim Thorpe PA, or even Steamtown, laughter would have been the only reply. This will likely go down as the biggest railroading event of the century, and I'm glad to have witnessed it.
