Petty Officer Carter Beck, with more than 8 years of service, is also stationed at Oak Island. Both have been involved in numerous rescues, handling a wide range of situations, but one incident stands out above the rest. On the morning of August 14th, four divers who had been lost at sea were rescued off the coast of North Carolina after being stranded for nearly 24 hours.
