Diretor Cacá Diegues volta a Cannes com o filme 'O Grande Circo Místico'

Brazil was represented at Cannes this weekend with the film "The Great Mystical Circus," by director Cacá Diegues. The film was screened in a special screening and out of competition. With a robust cast, including names such as Jesuíta Barbosa, Bruna Linzmeyer, Antônio Fagundes, Juliano Cazarré, and French director Vincent Cassel, the production follows the story of five generations of a circus family, from 1910 to the present day. According to Globo Filmes, the production's distributor, the film, "in which reality and fantasy collide in a mystical universe," has a "surprising" ending. The film was shot in 2015 and, after a hiatus of almost three years, is expected to hit theaters nationwide in September.
