Can you actually learn a language in a month using Duolingo, or is it all just games? We decided to test it out. The challenge: Youssof: Total beginner. Chose Swedish 🇸🇪. Tested Super Duolingo (Paid). Iman: New to Portuguese 🇵🇹, but knows other Romance languages. Tested the Free Version. We took placement tests on Day 1 and Day 30 to measure our progress scientifically. Is the paid version a game-changer? Does prior experience beat a premium subscription?
