UNEXPECTED Summer Hiking Adventure In BRECKENRIDGE CO

Join Dina Sanchez, 30 year Breckenridge local on an adventure in the Town of Breckenridge. We started out with plans to hike the upper parts of Peak 8 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. The weather that day had eleectrical activity thereby shutting down the gondola operations. We decided to walk through town, stopping at the Alpine Garden and Cool River Cafe, before hiking on the Burro Trail and ski resort trail system. Yes, that's right, you can hike the ski slopes you ride on all winter. Some ski runs have ski maintenaance roads that might be good for a gravel bike, and then there are singletrack trails that crisscross the mountain. We ended our day with a stop at the Breck Create building, the Old Masonic Hall, across from the Blue River Plaza. Inside was an art installation that was super colorful. We know and understand what Living in Breckenridge is about, as we've done it for 3 decades and have seen this place evolve and can help others find the perfect location for their preferred mountain lifestyle.
