Leavitt urges Americans to tune in for Trump's primetime speech, rejects 'misreporting'

President Donald Trump is expected to deliver a major primetime address Thursday night focused on election integrity, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is urging Americans to tune in while pushing back on speculation about the president's remarks. Leavitt, making her first briefing room appearance since taking maternity leave following the birth of her daughter in May, announced that Trump will address the nation at 9 p.m. ET on "protecting the integrity of our elections." The speech will air on primetime television and stream on The National Desk's website and YouTube channel. "I've seen a lot of reporting and, frankly, misreporting about what the president will say," Leavitt told reporters. "I think the American people will be relieved to hear what they are hearing from the President of the United States and his commitment to transparency and the focus on the integrity of our elections tonight."
