Uncovering Rare UFO Dome-Style Swimming Pool | Urbex France

Les Piscines Tournesol or "UFO pools" in France was a unique nation wide project to invest in swimming education, especially after their poor performance in the Olympics in the late 60's. The name “Tournesol” meaning sunflower was given due to the pool walls being able to open up manually to the open sky, almost like a sunflower.
