IA-27 Pulqui I
En 1946 se comenzó un desarrollo inédito en Sudamérica, el proyecto de un avión impulsado por un motor a reacción. Se denominó IA 27 “Pulqui I”. A 13 meses de comenzado su fabricación estuvo listo para realizar su primer vuelo que se concretó el 9 de agosto de 1947. La Fábrica Argentina de Aviones (entonces llamada Instituto Aerotécnico) concretaba el ingreso de nuestro país a la era del jet, junto a una elite muy pequeña de naciones en el mundo.
