Speak to the whole community of Israel and say: 'On the tenth of this month, each of you shall take a lamb for your family, a lamb for each household. If the family is too small for a lamb, it shall join its nearest neighbor, according to the number of people; you shall calculate the lamb according to how much each can eat. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a year-old male; you may choose it from the sheep or from the goats. You shall keep it until the fourteenth of this month; then the whole assembly of the community of Israel shall slaughter it at twilight.'"
