The Perfectly Flawed Spider-Man Movie Video Game...
After finishing Spider-Man (2002), I wanted to share some of my thoughts on a game that I've always considered one of my biggest gaming guilty pleasures. Released alongside Sam Raimi's first Spider-Man film, Treyarch's movie tie-in doesn't just retell the story from the big screen. Instead, it expands on the movie's events by introducing classic Spider-Man villains like Shocker, Vulture, and, on Xbox, Kraven the Hunter. Combined with returning performances from Tobey Maguire and Willem Dafoe, plus the unforgettable Bruce Campbell as the game's sarcastic tutorial narrator, Spider-Man delivers a surprisingly memorable superhero adventure. In this video, I discuss what still makes the game fun today, where it shows its age, and why I continue to come back to it despite its flaws. Have you played Spider-Man (2002)? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Is it a classic, a guilty pleasure, or somewhere in between? If you're interested in giving this game a go, it was released on the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube and PC. #SpiderMan2002 #SpiderMan #Marvel #MCU #Xbox #PS2 #GameCube #pc #RetroGaming
