Hawick Common Riding 2026 Culture, Community & Celebration
Hawick Common Riding is one of the oldest and most celebrated traditions in the Scottish Borders. The event commemorates the 1514 capture of an English flag at Hornshole and the historic riding of the town's boundaries, bringing together hundreds of riders and visitors each year.
