Open Mic Dublin - The Movie. A music documentary.

This documentary is the result of a two-year comprehensive examination of the artists, hosts and the originator of the open mic scene in Dublin, Ireland. The stories are great, the talent is astounding and the origins from 25 years ago is a surprise and delight. The whole film is awash with revealing interviews and superb music and poetry, captured live and in the raw. You will hear the stories of the dynamic open mic hosts who’s dedication provides a weekly platform to a multitude of burgeoning talent. We have captured for posterity a time when the scene was very vibrant and the talent occupying that scene was well above average in songwriting ability and performance. We interviewed the best and brightest and they have distinguished themselves in their representation of their ilk. Their talent, experience and knowledge well exceeds the boundaries of the scene we asked them about. They have also honoured themselves as ambassadors for both Dublin and Ireland.
