My Thoughts on The Current State of YouTube

Monkeys Spinning Monkeys by Kevin MacLeod was used in this video. i have not infact ditched the eyepatch it is just very hard to wear an eyepatch and glasses at the same time without it looking silly THINGS I DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO MENTION __________________________________________ This ties into my skynix tip, idk if I got it across fully but, with all the folks retiring from YouTube? I feel we'd be better off if full time YouTube wasn't our focus. Another reliable income source would ideally alleviate the monotony of it all, the need to over-optimize your videos for performance, & take dubious sponsorships. (Unrelated but most sponsorships also being like they are & taken I feel also hurts the chances of half decent ones coming to YouTube.) I feel like we've reached the point of diminishing returns with clickbait. I hate the word content creator for some reason? Like nah, I want to be a YouTuber, not a content creator or... INFLUENCER (ew) I don't like how i'll discover a new creator have one vid pop off & then nothing else for them, even if theres a few understandable reasons for why that is. Even as a kid I've always made an effort to fully watch videos regardless of who made it, but now it's so much harder & im not so sure why??? I don't feel like I have attention span related conditions either? (also please no more unnecessary 'History of' sections please i am begging you) When you're a new YouTuber, why should the average viewer give you a chance? Why should they give me a chance over someone like Jaiden? It's just so frustrating sometimes, especially with all the push for more content & impersonality instead of connection or people. Reading a Reddit thread about why TheOdd1sOut feels more shallow now, & one of the comments brought up how he got an artist to spend 10 hours on a background that only appeared for 45(?) seconds saying: 'Nobody's asking you to spend 10 hours on a background.' and..? well I agree with that. I wish he didn't remove the old fanart scrolls on all his vids either. The UI is kinda ugly, less so now tho. I removed the end screen section from last vid like I said I would.
