Ganj Nehri Kıyısında Hayatlar Hindistan’ın En Kutsal Şehri Varanasi 🇮🇳

Hindus, who believe the Ganges River is their mother, come to Varanasi to bathe in its cool waters, cleansing their souls of evil. A man approaches me and asks if I'd like a boat tour. A cow floats off the boat he pointed out, a cow that, because it's sacred, is thrown into the Ganges without being burned. Nearby, the eldest son of a family, only nine years old, pays his last respects to his deceased father by laying a sacred fire on his father's body. As smoke rises from behind, a man pours ashes from a bucket on his head right in front of me. When the smoke clears, I see cows eating flowers. One sifts the ashes through a sieve along the Ganges' banks, searching for gold teeth. Another is washing clothes. The burning flowers float down the Ganges' current without sinking. I don't know how I feel about all this, but the sun is rising in Varanasi.
