Carrega Ligure homes are collapsing

This spring, I took the family up to Carrega Ligure. Not surprisingly, there were a number of homes in the historic center that were collapsing. Literally crumbling to the ground. What a journey. It's as 'off the grid' or 'remote' as one could hope to get here in North Italy. Carrega Ligure One of the first to announce their intention for the 1 euro home program many years ago. Recently, they resurfaced on CNN offering deals as low as 10-12k, so I decided it was worth a visit. Located in Alessandria, Carrega Ligure is made up of multiple villages.
